How AC repair actually works at our shop

When you call, we ask a few quick questions — if you need an AC not cooling repair for blowing warm air or if it is making a strange noise — so we can put the right tech and the right parts on your truck. On site, the diagnostic is methodical: we check the thermostat call, the outdoor disconnect, the contactor and capacitor, the condenser fan, refrigerant pressures, the indoor coil and blower, and the drain line. By the time we hand you a price, we know exactly what's wrong and what it'll take to fix it.

The most common calls during a North Texas summer are predictable. Burned-out start capacitors, failed dual-run capacitors after a power blip, or frozen evaporator coils from a low charge requiring an AC refrigerant recharge are frequent issues. We also manage tripped float switches and failing condenser fan motors, keeping necessary parts on the truck for Arlington, Grand Prairie, and surrounding Metroplex neighborhoods.

Repair vs. replace — when we'll tell you to upgrade

We don't sell replacements unless they make sense. The honest checklist looks like this: how old is the system (a 10-year-old unit is past the average lifespan), is it R-22 (the refrigerant is expensive and being phased out), is the compressor itself failing, and is the cost of the repair more than half the cost of a new install?

If three of those four are true, we'll lay out both options in writing and let you decide. If they're not, we fix what's broken and move on.
