AC Installation and Replacement in Arlington, TX

A new air conditioner has to match the house, not just the tonnage printed on the old condenser. Boost Air And Plumbing installs and replaces central air and ductless systems for homes in Arlington and the surrounding area.

When replacement is the clearer choice

Repeated repairs, a failed compressor, a coil leak on an older system, or equipment that cannot hold the house on a normal summer afternoon are the usual reasons to replace. A single failed capacitor is not one of them.

If you are still deciding, start with AC repair. We will say so when a repair is the better use of the equipment you already have.

Sizing for a North Texas house

Arlington attics get extremely hot, and many houses have ducts that were never sized for the equipment now sitting outside. Copying the old tonnage can leave a new system short-cycling or unable to pull humidity down.

We look at the load, the duct capacity, and the condition of the line set before quoting. The quote is written before work starts. Permits are pulled when the city requires them for a replacement.

What a central replacement includes

A matched outdoor unit and indoor coil, a new filter drier, a pressure test, and a proper evacuation before the system is charged. The thermostat is set up for the new equipment. If the furnace is being replaced at the same time, that work is quoted on the furnace installation page so the two halves are a matched pair.

We install the equipment the house needs. We do not require a particular brand, and we will tell you if the existing ducts have to be repaired before a high-efficiency system can deliver the air it is rated for.

Ductless systems

A ductless system is a practical option for a room addition, a garage apartment, or a room the main ducts never served well. It is not automatically the right replacement for a whole-house central system.

We quote ductless installations the same way: the number of indoor units, the line sets, the electrical circuit, and the condensate plan are in the price before we start.
